CCM XF Ghost Review
I picked up the CCM XF Ghost for around $400, so obviously I had pretty high expectations going into it. After using it, I can honestly say I really like this stick. The biggest thing I noticed right away is the shooting. This stick has a ton of power, especially if you like to really lean into your shots and load the stick. My wrist shots and snapshots feel really good, and when you get a clean shot off, the puck absolutely flies. I also really like the blade. It feels solid and predictable, and passing feels really clean. The puck doesn't feel like it's bouncing all over the place when you're handling it. There's a good balance between having a stiff blade for shooting while still getting decent puck feel. The stick is also surprisingly light for being a mid-kick stick. It doesn't feel bulky or heavy in your hands, which I really like. The T-shaft is probably going to be personal preference. I actually like it because it gives me a really solid grip on the stick. It feels comfortable when stickhandling and shooting, although I could see some people preferring a more rounded shaft. Now, the obvious downside is the price. At $400, this is a REALLY expensive stick. I like the XF Ghost a lot, but I'm not sure I'd say it's $100+ better than some of the other high-end sticks out there. Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Versatile, Fast, Durable, Great Fit Cons: Expensive
