The Bauer Proto-R is a mid-kick player stick in the Proto line.
The Bauer Proto-R has a serious durability problem, frequently breaking after limited use and failing around the heel or blade. It feels light and offers a quick release, with capable shooting, puckhandling and control.
I play men’s league and this stick snapped about 4 inches up the shaft from the player making a pass. Used maybe 10-14 times. I shot better with a cheap X3. Plus side it is very light. Pros: Lightweight. Cons: Poor Durability, Poor Craftsmanship.
Easy purchase and arrived quickly. Great stick. My son loves this style and it is great for his powerful shot.
We have broken 4 of these sticks in 6 weeks. DO NOT BUY!
