The CCM Tacks XF90 feels comfortable. It requires little break-in. However, the rear component can loosen and fail.

Great initially, but the tendon guards crack
Great skates for a while, they were super comfortable and the blades take forever to lose sharpness, but, as other reviews have pointed out, the tendon guard cracks and falls out easily and I have not been able to find a skate or shoe repair place that said they can repair it. Mine had been cracked after a few months, but finally came loose and fell out about a year in. I only skate once or twice a week in beer league and have had no issues like this with other, significantly cheaper skates. CCM will not warranty it.

Great skates!
Great skates, great fit, all around great product. Only disappointment is the graphic wrap cracking slightly...

In store special
Love these skates; was looking at the XF 70 skates but seemed a bit expensive. Turns out the XF 90 skates were on a store special. Two levels up in skate for $100 less than the 70s. Rec player looking to advance my game, these are stiff compared to my old Vectors so it’s a bit of a learning curve. Plan to spend many years in these and break them in over time! A+ customer service !
