The CCM Jetspeed FT1 player skates use a one-piece, outsole-less construction to transfer stride power directly through the blade holder to the ice. Polished stainless-steel Hyper Glide runners reduce drag for increased speed and bite. The thick Tri-Tech tongue combines injected center foams for a custom fit after baking with a lace-bite guard for protection over the top of the foot.
The CCM Jetspeed FT1 feels comfortable from the first skate, with little or no break-in needed. The boot has a stiff feel. The skates also feel light.
On arrival, I started to put these skates on and found the pain was so much I thought they were too small. Once I got the skate on, I could see how the boot design surrounds your foot for a better fit. I have only worn the skates once, but so far, the break in is less painful then the many skates I have broken in over the past 45 years.
Super light weight, fast, great design but very narrow in the heel. Other than a snug heel, not much to complain about. The boot tends to get nicked up easily but all just superficial. No loss of integrity to the skate itself.
I’ve been using these skates for almost two months. They’ve held up very well, with very little signs of wear. Although these skates are stiff, they’re very comfortable
Didn’t have to go through any break in period, felt great from the very first skate just had to get used to transitioning and turning with the new blades
