Great for the price
Great skates to start out with. Very comfortable and at a great price. I’ve had them for a couple months now and am very happy with them.

The Bauer X player skate has a Digi Comp quarter package intended to give it a sleeker look than its previous skates. Heat-moldability improves break-in time.
The Bauer X feels comfortable. It fits well, too.

They are a major step up from rental Skates. Which when I first got into this, was the goal. They are good skates. Quality construction even if they are a one piece, plastic boot. They desperately need insoles though. The ones that come in them are about the thickness of an old t-shirt. I bought them mostly because they were the most affordable option that came in a wide width. If I had it to do over, I'd spend a little more and go up to the supreme m30s. They also have them as "Heat Moldable" on several websites (including this one.) And I am here to tell you: that is not the same thing as "thermo-moldable" which is what you need them to be if you plan on baking them to mold them to your feet and enhance comfort.
Ordered online for coaching. They came with a good edge (not sure what the cut is but feels like a 5/8). Baked them at home and when I got on the sheet, the fit was nice. A bit of lace bite at bend, but reajusted lacing and that went away. Could have come with some wax laces, but still good. Blade chassis is OK, but would be better with a higher end Tuuk holder so I can blade swap. For coaching and if you are beer leaguing, these will do just fine.
worked with my son for the perfect fit & explained the entire process so well!!! Our local store is amazing!!! We always get what we need and get the information we would need as well.
