The Bauer Supreme Mach feels comfortable from the first wear and generally settles in with little break-in. Its stiff, supportive boot delivers a powerful stride and a responsive feel on the ice. Eyelets can fail, creating a notable durability concern.

Super Comfy , very protective but lacks durability
Bought these in 22, very easy transition from a pair of well used. MX3;s, got a 8.5 fit 2 and they are much more roomy compared to the MX3’s. Anyway break in was very quick and no sore spots. I skate 3 times a week in beer league / pickups and the durability is not what Bauer used to be, these have become lace eaters as I continuously keep having to replace the eyelets as they fail and get sharp and cuts the laces. Still have not found a solution to this issue as all eyelets are soft aluminum or brass. Stainless versions would be the solution but the local shops do not have them . Now 2 years in the right side holder has failed and have a fracture under middle of the boot! My MX3’s holders did also fail but this took 8 years which is a more reasonable time frame. For reference my Supreme 100’s never failed and they were 15 years plus so I am disappointed in this development. The other thing that is disappointing is that no one stocks a right skate holder. (Light speed Edge) in my size (272) lefts are in stock but no rights. This is very odd and maybe there is a conspiracy theory brewing as to why this is the case. Had to order online!

Don’t trust pure hockey
Pure hockey won’t stand behind their service or products. Bought these skates brand new and had them sharpened by pure hockey. They used the wrong stone and scratch the brand new mirror finish on my steel. They haven’t responded back to me in months around a resolution. If they do that for steel, just imagine what they would do for a higher ticket item.
