Built as goalie skates, the CCM EFlex E6.9 uses a one-piece boot intended to provide a closer fit and transfer energy more directly during movement. An Asymmetric Flex Stance collar is intended to improve ankle mobility with less restriction, while the 7 mm felt tongue adds foam and molded lace-bite protection for comfort and protection. A lightweight composite midsole transfers energy from boot to blade, and the Speedblade XSG runner's 10F27 profile is intended to encourage a forward-leaning goalie stance.
The skates are comfortable and lightweight.
Our son U10 plays with these. He loves them as they give him a better feel when he pushes or shuffles. Be warned though, these are not beginner friendly skates. If your kiddo can comfortably C-cut and T-push they can use these.
This is a solid skate. They are very lightweight, super comfortable, and I noticed an immediate improvement in my skating after I got used to them. Best of all, after I had my skates baked, I didn't suffer the typical painful break-in period after playing a game. It took a little adjusting to the forward leaning skate blade profile, as my balance was initially off. But about 20 minutes into my first skate I quickly adjusted. The profile of the blade and the one boot construction definitely improved my mobility around the crease. I was able to dig in deeper, and slide more effectively in my butterfly. As an intermediate level beer league goalie, I find these skates to be perfect for my level of play!
I purchased these skates a few months ago. For someone who plays at a competitive level beer league these skates are perfect. CCM has made a great quality, fair price skate in the eflex 6.9. these are the most comfortable skate i can remember having. My previous skates were a pro level skate by a competitor of CCM and these are more comfortable at a cheaper price. I would strongly recommend trying these skates out if you're in the market for a new pair Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Durable, Great Fit
