Great Skate; Poor Service and Advice
My 12 year old loves these skates; my problem is not with the skate but with Pure Hockey. My son outgrew his Bauer Elite size 7. The store scanned his feet and said he was 7.5, but the skates do not come in half sizes. The sales rep talked us into size 7 rather than 8, saying they would bake larger and expand and it was healthier and less risky for him than the larger size. Three months later they are too small for him. They rebaked and tried expanding the skates, but he was in pain and now we have to upsize. When I asked for consideration due to the situation the manager advised that their guidance was a "recommendation" and I didn't have to accept it. After 7 years of buying everything from this store I don't believe this is good customer service and policy, especially considering the cost of these skates.
