The CCM FT Ghost Junior is an exceptionally lightweight stick with good flex for shooting, but multiple reviewers report significant durability issues. The heel chips and breaks prematurely (within 1-2 months of regular use), and the overall construction appears fragile despite its light weight. The 30-day warranty limitation compounds the problem for parents dealing with early failures.
This is 2nd FT Ghost stick for my teen. He has used intermediate 55 flex, and now moves to senior 65 flex. This sicks has longer than other on same flex. For 55 flex, this is 57 inches (other sticks are usually 54~55 inch for 55 flex). 60-inch senior sticks usually begin from 70 or 75 flex.
Bought this stick from Hockey World for my 12 yr old son for Xmas 2023. Less than 2 months later the heel is trash, chipped and breaking. My son doesn't break sticks he grows out of them. His last stick, Bauer Sync is a year and a half old and is in perfect condition. I have heard at least 5 people make the same complaint to me be about the heel of the Ghost stick. I do not recommend this stick.
This stick is incredibly lightweight, almost too lightweight as it breaks extremely easily and my 10 year old destroyed this stick within a little over a month. With CCM not offering the stick warranty past 30 days I would not recommend this stick.
My son loves the stick. Really light but good kick.
